Feeding the 9 Billion

It is estimated that the State of Hawaii imports about 80% of its food,

yet on the four acres we farm on our property, we produce about 25,000 pounds –12.5 tons– of food a year.

  1. On a global perspective, we are still only just starting to become aware of how the world truly works. What it really takes to make things function and not just for ourselves, but for other humans. The dichotomy between Interpretation & reality can be startlingly drastic. But with an open mind, the rift is merely a crack in the sidewalk of ones journey. Thank you for the post, they always lead to deep trains of thought.

  2. As a species we are just beginning to think in global terms as a connected series of organisms. The growing pains for a planet wide responsibility to the symbiosis is the darkest comedy and the brightest opportunity thank you for the post.
