Rat Attack

Screen shot 2014-02-14 at 9.54.08 AMOur cat Cream was busy last night, getting ready for Valentine’s Day.  She left a special gift for everyone just above Little House in the front yard.  So considerate of her.  It was a very dead, partially decapitated, giant rat.  Owls and hawks can kill hundreds of rodents a year, but they don’t gift them to us, they eat them.  For Cream, the supreme cat-ratter on the farm, the hunt is mainly for sport.  And we appreciate her thoughtful efforts.  But I am relieved that today, she left it good and dead outside where we could see, only if we wanted to.
